Deriner Dam is located on the Çoruh River (Turkey)
Deriner Dam is located on the Çoruh River (Turkey) and is a double curvature concrete arch dam. The dam will be the highest in Turkey and third highest in the world with a height of 253 meters. The excavations of the dam body, diversion tunnel access roads and internal roads were constructed with approximately 2000 personnel.
The underground power plant having 4x167.5 MW installed capacity will also be constructed and will provide 2.300 GWh of electrical energy annually.
